Site Clinic – Live Audits

Today, I’ve started doing daily live audits of Shopify Stores in our Facebook group (and am going to post those videos in the LinkedIn Group as well)

These audits reveal some obvious and some not-so-obvious issues with stores, looking to build, launch, and grow their eCommerce business.

For example, today, I did a quick audit for an upcoming perfume store in UAE.

I wanted to share with you some of the key takeaways from this audit, as I believe they can be helpful for improving your own website.

Firstly, I searched for the domain name on Google to see what the brand search is producing. It’s important to note that the website was indexed in Google, which is a good sign.

However, I found that there wasn’t much information about their products on the website, which can be a problem.

When I visited the site, one of the first, and possibly the most important things I noticed was that there was no email capture form, which can hurt your ability to build a subscriber list.

Additionally, there wasn’t much content on the website, and it wasn’t clear why I should buy their products.

To fix this issue, I recommend leading users to categories of fragrances and providing more information on the website to entice buyers.

Another issue I found was that the images on the website weren’t as clear as they should be. It’s important to make sure that your images are of high quality and optimized for the web.

I also recommend adding a clear call to action or path of direction for visitors to take. For example, you could have a section for gift bundles or highlight best sellers to help guide visitors to make a purchase.

Overall, these are just a few things that I noticed during the audit.

I hope you find them helpful in improving your own website.
